Southern Comfort BBQ's "Smoked to the Bone"
Competition, May 25/26 at the Gloucester Fair in Ottawa
has announced $20,000 in prizes for 2012 and so
we will need over 40 judges to evaluate all that wonderful BBQ.
Applications are now being accepted for
certification courses to be given on February 18 and 19th.
Location: D&S
Southern Comfort BBQ Restaurant, Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa),
ON.
CSBBQA Certification courses: 11am to (approx) 2pm on either
Saturday or Sunday (only one session is req'd)
Course will be given by: Dave Carr (CSBBQA Head Judge), Owen
Sound, ON
and Mike Callaghan (CSBBQA President), London, ON
Course fee: $50 (one time fee)
CSBBQA Annual membership: $25
As
a special one-time incentive, Dave Harper (D&S Southern
Comfort BBQ)
will be reimbursing all who take the certification course
$25 if they judge at the 2012 Smoked to the Bone.
Payment in full will be
required at the course and the incentive reimbursement will be
paid out at the at the Fair.
We will also be
giving current CSBBQA Certified Judges a "refresher"
course on Saturday, Feb 18th at 2pm.
