Wednesday morning the Gloucester Fair opens to volunteers from Hydro Ottawa who welcome over 800 mentally or physically challenged children to a very private party, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

The children enjoy the midway rides, live entertainment and a hotdog, soft drink and ice cream lunch, all provided just for them. This is one of those special times these children can enjoy the same fun the rest of us tend to take for granted and is widely regarded as "my best day of the year!"
